Offbeat’s dynamic music director is Mathea Marta Radwan. Marta is a renowned conductor, composer, arranger, award-winning vocalist, music director, and workshop leader. She brings her unique blend of humour, infectious enthusiasm, and a passion for making music.
Marta’s circle songs are one of Offbeat’s favourite moments of each rehearsal and even in our concerts. She composes multi-part harmonies on the spot, never the same twice – you know you are singing an original every time.
Offbeat’s repertoire includes arrangements by Marta that challenge and delight us as singers.
Beyond Offbeat, Marta teaches at Brunel University and leads community choirs in and around London as well as arranging music for jazz ensembles, choirs, contemporary ballet, and commercial advertising.
