About Offbeat

We’re a seriously fun choir! Offbeat sings a cappella music of many genres – pop, folk, traditional with a bit of world and the occasional classical music. It’s all about music that’s a joy to sing.

This is a warm and welcoming group of singers. Some of us date from the very first days of the Richmond choir around 15 years ago. Some read music, some don’t – we mainly learn by ear. We laugh a lot! Marta Radwan, our MD (music director) took over the choir in 2015.

Under Marta’s direction we’ve sung at events including Choirs at The Tower of London, the Brandenburg Choral Festival and the Milton Keynes Community Choir Festival. In 2017 we won Best A Cappella performance and Best Performance of a Classical Piece at the Richmond Choirfest.
